Four years of direction, together

Maple Future Foundation began with one simple belief — that every person deserves a clear next step. Four years on, that belief has grown into a nationwide movement of chapters, mentors, and communities.

Our Story

Started around one kitchen table, now in 26 chapters

Maple Future Foundation was founded in 2022 by a small group of volunteers who noticed the same gap everywhere they looked: people with real potential, but no clear direction on career paths, digital tools, or financial basics. What began as a handful of evening workshops in one community centre quickly grew, chapter by chapter, city by city.

Four years later, that same instinct — show up, listen first, teach what's actually useful — still shapes everything we do. We're still volunteer-led, still community-first, and still measuring success one person's "next step" at a time.

Our Cause

Direction shouldn't depend on your postal code

Across Canada, people are held back not by ambition but by access — to career guidance, to digital confidence, to a clear understanding of their own finances. Maple Future Foundation exists to close that gap, one community at a time.

We run free, in-person and hybrid programs that combine practical skills with real mentorship, delivered by volunteers who've walked the same path. No jargon, no gatekeeping — just useful direction, from people who care.

What We Stand For

Three pillars guide every program we run, from our first workshop in 2022 to the cohorts launching this month.

Career guidance

Career Guidance

One-on-one and group sessions that turn uncertainty about "what's next" into an actual plan — resumes, interviews, and real pathways.

Digital and financial awareness

Digital & Financial Awareness

Practical workshops on everyday banking, online safety, and spotting scams — built for people who just want things explained plainly.

Employability programs

Employability Programs

Structured cohorts that pair training with mentorship, so a workshop turns into an interview, and an interview turns into a job.

Our Journey So Far

2022

Maple Future Foundation is founded

A small volunteer group runs its first career-guidance evenings out of a single community centre.

2023

First chapters open beyond the founding city

Word-of-mouth interest leads to new volunteer-run chapters, and the first digital & financial awareness workshops launch.

2024

Employability cohorts and CRA registration

Maple becomes a registered charity in Canada and introduces structured, multi-week employability programs.

2025

26 chapters, thousands of participants

The chapter network grows nationwide, crossing 150+ communities reached and tens of thousands of participants trained.

2026

Four years in, still growing

Today Maple runs across 26 chapters and 180+ communities — with the same volunteer-first spirit it started with.

How We Work

Community-first

Every program is shaped by the community it serves, not designed in isolation from it.

Volunteer-led

Our chapters run on people who show up because they care, not because it's a job.

Plain and practical

No jargon. Every session leaves people with something they can actually use.

Accountable

We're independently audited annually and registered as a charity in Canada.
